Mr. Tabor is not only a WV Certified Home Inspector but a licensed Professional Engineer. Structural engineering experience includes consulting in foundation damage/settlement, residential construction defects, moisture damage/water intrusion, probable cause of damage, and competency/code compliance of original designs.
As a Certified Home Inspector, Mr. Tabor has analyzed the conditions of the major components of homes ranging from new construction to manufactured housing to century old homes. These detailed inspections consider the use of the Standards of Practice issued by the American Society of Home Inspectors and WV Code Title 87-5 which regulates the certification of home inspectors.
As a Highways Engineer and Project Manager, Mr. Tabor has designed and led teams in nearly every facet of planning and producing plans for highway construction. Designs and analyses considered the use of AASHTO, federal and state Design Guidelines for major watershed and hydraulics analysis, site drainage, culvert design, geometric design, sediment and erosion control, utility relocations, traffic control/construction sequencing, right-of-way, slope design, retention/detention pond design, environmental permitting, geotechnical administration and value engineering.
As an Adjunct Professor, Mr. Tabor has utilized his knowledge, skills and experience to lead in the classroom, teaching engineering concepts and design to undergraduate engineering students at West Virginia University Institute of Technology.
